KWP-W104: KidWind Middle School Wind Turbine Team

Since 2018, Makersmiths has sponsored KidWind teams. What is KidWind? It is an initiative to teach youth about renewable energies as they go through an engineering process of designing, building and testing wind turbines or solar projects. We are looking for youth in grades 6-8 to join our middle school wind turbine team. The Makersmiths KidWind wind turbine team will be coached by Makersmiths member, Chris Rodgers. The team will meet on Saturday afternoons in Makersmiths' Purcellville lower classroom and will participate in the Northern VA Regional KidWind Challenge, an all-day event- TBD in March.
