This hands-on photography class is designed for beginners and intermediate photographers who want to move beyond auto mode. Learn how to confidently adjust aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to achieve perfect exposure and creative control in any lighting condition

Students should bring a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a detachable lens, a fully charged battery, and an empty memory card. A standard kit lens (18-55mm) or a prime lens (50mm f/1.8) is recommended. A notebook and pen are optional for taking notes. If a student does not have a camera, three cameras will be available for loan on a first-come, first-served basis.

At the end of the class, a laser-cut camera "cheat sheet" will be provided to students to take home.

This class will meet in the basement classroom at the Leesburg location.
