Create Your Own Distortion Guitar Pedal with Custom Enclosure

Have you ever wanted to change the sound of your electric guitar with a pedal? In this course you will create a custom distortion pedal with your own unique sound and personalized enclosure. You will learn to breadboard and tinker with a prototype, read a schematic, and then transfer and solder your prototype onto a perfboard. To finish up, you will design a custom enclosure that we will engrave using the laser cutter.

This course is a family-friendly event for youth ages 13+ and adults. We will meet for five sessions in order for us to complete this project. Each morning we will meet in the lower building classroom and also use the crafts room for laser cutting.

Participants should bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and a snack may be a good idea, too..
