MS-P Pottery Wheel Basics

In this workshop that will be held in the ceramics studio (red brick building, lower level of the Makersmiths Purcellville location), participants will learn the basics of using a pottery wheel. It will include centering the clay, pulling up the edges, trimming the lip and base, and some fun extras like adding texture. We will also discuss and see a demo on how to trim the underside, which participants can return to do at their leisure. All pots will be fired during the next monthly firing session. 

Wear old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. All materials will be provided. Some experience with working with clay is helpful. Because this is a new workshop, it will be open to members only.
