This fun, hands-on two session workshop for youth is an introduction to the Stem Lingo Arduino activity kit that is designed for ages 12+.
Participants will be introduced to circuits, programming and the purposes of microcontrollers that read inputs from sensors, process them by means of the program, create outputs for that project, such as lighting up a bulb or making a sound.
During the workshop, the participants will complete three projects:
Fun, friendly competition activities.
Pre-requisite: It is not necessary to have computer programming skills, but one should have basic skills operating a computer.
Materials provided: The instructor will provide a handout of resources and basic information about Arduinos, laptops and Stem Lingo Arduino kits to use during the workshop. This workshop will be held in the classroom at Makersmiths Leesburg.
