During Woodturning Open Shop hours, an experienced Woodturning instructor will be available to help members with projects, questions, and training. 

What the Woodturning room will provide:

  • Lathes

  • Turning tools

  • Grinder for sharpening tools

  • Some spindle stock for practice

If you plan on attending the Open Shop event, please join Slack channel #Woodturning. 
  • The Woodturning room only has 3 lathes so please register to reserve a lathe if you need one during the Open Shop event.

  • You will need to provide your own wood and the instructor can help if given advanced notice.

Safety requirements: Wear closed-toed shoes, short sleeves, and eye protection (bring yours or use ours).

There is no charge for this event, but donations are welcome and always appreciated.

  • Leesburg Open House: Thursdays 6-8pm
  • Purcellville Open House: Tuesdays 6-8pm
